Voyah Dreamer Review: All-Electric MPV with 510km range

The 2024 Voyah Dreamer EV recently expanded its lineup with the introduction of the Long Range Deluxe version, reducing the entry-level price threshold compared to the previously sole Ultra Long Range flagship version. This new model maintains an impressive pure electric range of 510 km according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Exterior

The new model continues the design style of the Ultra Long Range flagship version, featuring a smoked black straight waterfall grille that integrates with the headlight assembly, imparting a broad and imposing front fascia. The side profile of the vehicle is characterized by steeply raked A-pillars, straight roof and waistline, and a full-bodied stance, ending with similarly wide and squared-off rear design accentuated with smoked black style taillights. The Dreamer measures 5315mm in length, 1985mm in width, and 1820mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3200mm. It is structured as a 5-door, 7-seater, positioning itself as a mid-to-large MPV.

Interior

Inside, the Dreamer continues to offer a triple-screen setup, featuring a 12.3-inch central control screen, a 12.3-inch co-pilot screen, and a 12.3-inch all-digital instrument panel. It's equipped with the VOYAH OS intelligent vehicular system and powered by a Qualcomm 8155 chip. Comfort and practicality are elevated with features like a Dynaudio sound system, 10 speakers, 64-color interior ambient lighting, multi-layer noise-reducing glass, wireless phone charging, and more.

The seating is made from faux leather, with the standard configuration including second-row independent seats, double side electric sliding doors, and a segmented panoramic sunroof. Both front and second-row seats offer extensive adjustments, including electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, memory, and massage functions. The front seats can lay flat, providing an extended comfort position for second-row passengers.

Performance and Efficiency

Under the hood, the Dreamer is powered by dual electric motors, delivering a total of 435 horsepower. It achieves a pure electric range of 510 km and has a manufacturer claimed 0-100 km acceleration time of 5.8 seconds, slightly faster than its Ultra Long Range counterpart. The battery technology has shifted from CATL to Funeng Technology, still utilizing a nickel-cobalt-manganese battery. Additionally, the VTOL mobile power station feature is available.

In comparison to the Ultra Long Range flagship, the Long Range Deluxe version has omitted some amenities such as negative ion generators, in-car fragrance devices, as well as air, electromagnetic induction, and magic carpet smart suspension systems.

Safety and Assistance Systems

The Dreamer is well-equipped with a suite of active safety and assistance features, including active brake assist, lane assistance, fatigue driving reminders, DMS fatigue detection, traffic sign and signal recognition, 360° panoramic imaging, transparent imaging, full-speed adaptive cruise control, L2-level driving assistance, automatic lane changing, automatic parking, electric rear tailgate, remote vehicle movement, remote start, active noise reduction, and an integrated dashcam.

Market Positioning

With its introduction, the 2024 Voyah Dreamer EV Long Range Deluxe version primarily reduces features like air suspension and lowers the electric range from 650km to 550km while largely maintaining its product performance. The new Voyah Dreamer EV model undoubtedly strengthens its competitiveness in the segment with these updates and offerings.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the 2024 Voyah Dreamer EV Long Range Deluxe version stands out as a compelling option in the mid-to-large MPV market. It offers a harmonious blend of sophisticated design, luxurious interior, and robust performance, all while presenting a more affordable entry point than its predecessor. The vehicle's extensive list of features, from its advanced safety systems to the comfortable and tech-rich cabin, positions it as a strong contender for families and individuals seeking space, comfort, and efficiency in an electric vehicle. With its reduced price and maintained quality, the Dreamer EV is poised to attract a broader audience, marking another step forward for Voyah in the competitive electric vehicle market.
